Tell us about yourself:

I was born and raised in Santa Fe, New Mexico, so I like everything a little spicy.  I spent a few years in Tucson before moving to Las Vegas where I eventually met my wife.  We moved to the Coachella Valley 7 years ago after she accepted a job working for Palm Springs Unified School District, which was fantastic because our alternate location would have been Chicago and I am not one for the Winters!  I live at home with my wife and 9 month old daughter.  When we have time off together, we enjoy day trips to San Diego or somewhere on the Coast.

Tell us about yourself:

I am originally from Shasta Lake in North California; no pets, grown children and I enjoy a great game of chess.

How did you become a golf pro?

I received my PGA card in 1997.  I stepped away from baseball to pursue a golf career.

Where were you before Omni?

JC Resorts - Temecula Creek Inn for 16 years.

Tell us about yourself:

I was born on August 4th, 1981 in San Bernardino.  At the age of 13, I moved to Yucaipa.  I completed my high school education here as well as 4 years on the Varsity Golf Team  I began working at Calimesa Country Clubs just out of high school and became interested in a higher golf education.  I went to PGCC (Professional Golfers Career College) and received an Associates Degree in Profession Golf Management.  In 2006, I took a job as Assistant Golf Professional at the Westin La Paloma CC in Tucson, AZ.  After 2 years there I got homesick and moved back to California and got a job at Rancho Las Palmas in October 2008.

All time favorite place to play:

Big Horn CC and Westin La Paloma CC

Favorite games:

Individual play, scramble

Favored RLP nine?  Favorite hole?

North 9 is my favorite 9 as I score better on that nine.  Favorite hole would be West #7 as I have had an albatross on that hole!

Any holes in one?

Yes!  On West #6.

Steve Andercyk
Golf Retail Associate

I grew up in Maryland, then went to the University of North Carolina, Greensboro.  For most of my life, I worked in advertising & marketing in New York City and Los Angeles (I was one of those "Mad Men".) I now reside in Cathedral City with my husband Tom & our mini dachshund, Daisy.

I joined Omni RLP so that I could work with people who love golf, tennis & pickle ball. I also enjoy cooking; I just bought the RLP Ladies Cook Book & look forward to making those delicious recipes!

I haven't been able to play a lot of golf since I moved here, but hopefully now that changes & I can get some rounds in during my days off.
